Almost two-thirds of adults in the UK are now overweight. This is also an issue amongst the younger generation too, as one in three children are considered overweight.

Being overweight can put your health at risk, causing discomfort, pain and unhappiness. By losing 5-10% of your body weight, it could reduce your blood pressure, reduce risk of diabetes and lower blood cholesterol levels helping you feel healthier and happier.

In this day and age weight gain is so easy, portion sizes are becoming a lot larger, consumption of sugary drinks is higher, snacks and fast foods are becoming an alternative to freshly cooked meals and more processed foods are available for convenience.

Activity levels have also decreased. More people like to finish work and slouch in front of the TV all evening or in front of the computer, meaning we use less calories.

For many people losing weight is a huge challenge and many fail due to them trying to change everything at once.
